Reduced Impact
The BODY BIKE SMART and SMART+ range boast a carbon footprint of 0.19 tonnes CO2e per bike – a testament to our dedication to sustainable manufacturing.
Recycled plastics
The SMART and SMART+ ranges incorporate a significant amount of recycled material, comprising 50.7% of each bike’s weight. For example, Forest Green has up to 25% recycled ABS plastic, while the OceanIX uses reclaimed commercial plastic fishing nets in its manufacture.
Recycled iron
By using reclaimed and recycled iron for all cast iron parts across every BODY BIKE model, we bypass energy-intensive mining and processing. Our supplier reinforces this commitment by using 93% recycled material in its cast iron production and continuously improving the energy-efficiency of its melting processes.
Locally Made
We prioritize working with Danish suppliers, supporting the local economy and minimizing transportation emissions. We also maintain complete control over the production process by assembling all our bikes at our Danish factory.
Self-Powered
The SMART+ allows you to generate power for your phone or tablet simply by pedaling, reducing reliance on external energy sources.

Built to last, BODY BIKES are designed for long-term use, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing waste. This commitment to quality contributes to sustainable consumption. We also offer buy-backs on used bikes which we then factory refurbish, giving them a new lease of life.
