the quest for The perfect ride
the quest for The
perfect ride
BODY BIKE® was established in 1997 with a mission to promote healthy lifestyles through indoor cycling. The company remains solely dedicated to manufacturing indoor bikes with unmatched design, functionality and quality.
Since its inception, BODY BIKE has been at the forefront of indoor cycling innovation. With a clear focus on quality and performance, the introduction of the Supreme model in 2007 established the brand’s commitment to excellence. The BODY BIKE SMART+ took this further by enabling users to access detailed workout data through the BODY BIKE SMART+ app, setting a new standard for tracking and performance optimization.
In 2019, BODY BIKE showcased its dedication to sustainability with the launch of OceanIX, the world’s first indoor bike to be manufactured using recycled fishing nets. This marked a significant step in the brand’s eco-conscious journey, which reached another milestone in 2022 when all plastic components across the product range transitioned into being fully recycled.
Continuing its tradition of innovation, in 2024 BODY BIKE introduced its flagship model, the SMART+ Phantom. Featuring state-of-the-art magnetic brakes, this model represents the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and sustainable design, reinforcing BODY BIKE’s leadership in the industry.
Innovation since 1997

1997
It all began with a quest for perfection – a passionate drive to create the ultimate indoor cycle. Indoor cycling had evolved dramatically, but the ultimate cycle was yet to be invented. With this quest in mind, in 1997 BODY BIKE was established in Frederikshavn, Denmark, launching its first model: the Open Bike.

2000
In the year 2000, BODY BIKE Classic was born. With a patented one-piece crank system, a hub welded as part of the flywheel for a perfect fit and a superior belt system, the new bike delivered a smooth, quiet yet incredibly robust ride. The unbreakable pedal arm was also patented and introduced in 2000.

2005
In 2005, BODY BIKE introduced its revolutionary HBS (Hydraulic Brake System) – a patented system where braking takes place directly inside the crank system, not on the flywheel. BODY BIKE also signed its 30th international distributor in 2005.

2007
2007 saw the birth of the BODY BIKE Classic Supreme – an elegant, high-quality cycle that quickly gained traction among club owners worldwide. In the same year, BODY BIKE unveiled its 3-in-1 pedal, Pro Soft saddle, Pro Slim saddle, Wave bottle holder, protective mat – and a new-look logo.

2009
BODY BIKE Magic, launched in 2009, was an indoor cycle designed specifically for young people. In the same year, BODY BIKE celebrated the production of its 75,000th indoor cycle with the limited edition BODY BIKE Classic 75.

2012
BODY BIKE® Connect – a new watt-based cycle launched in 2012 – took all the guesswork out of indoor cycling. With workout data transferred wireless to a BODY BIKE® Performance Console mounted directly in front of the cyclist, riders could accurately see how they were performing. Different versions of the console were also created for other BODY BIKE® indoor bikes.

2016
In 2016, BODY BIKE SMART® and BODY BIKE SMART®+ were unveiled to the world. With its revolutionary SMART Charge feature, BODY BIKE SMART®+ was the world’s first indoor bike to harness user-generated power. It enabled data to be transferred from the bike to the new BODY BIKE® app – also launched in 2016 – and turn users’ mobile phones into full-colour consoles.

2019
In 2019, BODY BIKE showcased its dedication to sustainability with the launch of OceanIX, the world’s first indoor bike to be manufactured using recycled commercial fishing nets.

2022
The brand’s eco-conscious journey reached another milestone in 2022, when all plastic components across the product range transitioned into being fully recycled. As a result, BODY BIKE was able to calculate a 0.19 tonne CO2e footprint for both the OceanIX and its new Forest Green model, launched at FIBO 2023.

2024
Continuing its tradition of innovation, in 2024 BODY BIKE introduced its flagship model, the SMART+ Phantom – its first bike with a magnetic brake system. Representing the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and sustainable design, Phantom successfully reinforced BODY BIKE’s leadership in the industry.
